An accident
\nand Archie was the victim
\nSadly he
\nReally came off the worse for wear
\nAs anyone could see
\nHis right eye very damaged
\nAs was his mouth and jaw
\nAnd his front legs
\nHe was in great shock
\nLike he had never been before.<\/p>\n
When we found him
\nHe was bleeding
\nAnd was in Lots of pain
\nWe rushed him to the hospital
\nIn a blanket
\nIt was plain
\nTo see our friend was needing help
\nAnd he got it quickly too
\nSedated rested cleaned a bit
\nAnd examined as to what to do.<\/p>\n
We gave him care and love
\nFor starters
\nCleaned him up and
\nSedated him so he
\nCould sleep and in the morning
\nWe examined him
\nHis tail was wagging
\nThat much we could see<\/p>\n
We gave him medication
\nSome fluids
\nFlushed his mouth for he
\nHad received a really terrible knock
\nand in shock he be
\nWith his courage and his temperament
\nAnyone could see
\nIt Really stood him in good stead
\nAnd helped him actually<\/p>\n
We tried to coax him to take some food
\nBut clearly so much pain
\nWe helped him put some food
\nAround his mouth
\nAnd, so again
\nRealised his eye was far too badly injured and
\nWe
\nOperated and removed the eye
\nSo at least he now would be<\/p>\n
Able to recover
\nAnd liked eating and quite soon
\nLots of loving cuddles
\nHe appeared over the moon
\nJoyful like a sand boy
\nA gentle fellow he
\nWas soon up And running about
\nReally happily<\/p>\n
Nourished he grew stronger
\nHe loves to run about
\nLoves his tummy massaged
\nAnd we are in no doubt
\nHe is a little warrior
\nAnd clearly loves it here
\nAnd everybody loves him
\nThat much is really clear<\/p>\n
\u201cArchie\u201d is a special boy
\nHe just came through it all
\nHe runs about enjoying life
\nAnd just comes when we call
\nHe loves his food
\nHe loves to play
\nAnd copes with one eye well
\nEverybody loves him
\nAs I think you all can tell<\/p>\n
