Wild animals they had no say
\nPredators just had to pay
\nThe natural order was one thing
\nBut where man was he was the king
\nThe jungle kings they had no say

\nPounce on antelope and deer

\nDraconian laws and depravity
\nDiscipline and rigidity
\nCruelty the whip hand here
\nUnbending really and severe
\nMasterful and domineering
\nRestraining somewhat and always fearing
\nThe whip, the scourge the rod of iron
\nAnd a sense of keeping one in line<\/p>\n
The circus was severity
\nA rigorousness an authority
\nOn taming the wildness
\nThe spirited strength
\nOr really going to a great length
\nTo quieten the sinew to lessen the nerve
\nTo victimise and straighten the curve
\nTo inflict justice and to shed blood
\nTricks and more tricks a great flood
\nOf tricks and situations where
\nThe wild spirit it would share
\nThere couldn\u2019t be a harder way
\nEach show of force would always pay
\nSubjugation tyranny
\nWildness drowned out tragically
\nCircus never was seen as fair
\nUncompromising everywhere
\nAbusing animals everyday
\nIn a relentless vile display
\nAudiences they tended to
\nBe taken in quite clueless
\nTrue
\nto life perhaps
\nBut far and away
\nReal abuse just everyday
\nFrom now until eternity
\nCircus ends we shall not see
\nSubjugation anymore
\nThe callousness of natural law
\nThe bludgeoning of brutish souls
\nThe unforgiving wilder roles
\nPardoned and humanity
