The flocks seek her patronage
\nShe is the one
\nThe Bride of the mantle
\nWhen the day is done
\nThe Ritual of mating
\nWhen serpents will stir
\nBehold the first ploughing
\nThat just might occur
\nBrigid has trodden
\nThe sod of the spring
\nThe forge it be hot
\nThe smith craft doth ring
\nWith the sound of the hammer
\nThe tongs and whats more
\nThe coals and the smoke
\nFor our eyes to adore
\nA candle of brimstone
\nAnd sulphur so stark
\nA glorious vista

\nForsythia bursting
\nWitch hazel too
