The wolf to me
\nhas got to be
\nthe most amazing soul
\nlied about
\nshot at
\nbut she’s still in control
\nyes we know the hunters
\nin Yellowstone would say
\nwolves are vermin
\nwolves are targets
\nthey have had their day
\nwith their camouflage
\nand their 4×4’s
\nand their hearts dried up inside
\nhigh powered rifles
\npowerful bows
\nand all they do denied<\/p>\n
The wolf to me
\nwhose eyes can see
\nthe foolishness of men
\nslaughtering apex hunters
\nwe must ask them when
\nthey lost their sensitivity
\nto nature and to those
\nwho place themselves
\nin forests
\nfor to us, it clearly shows<\/p>\n
a lack of understanding
\na treacherous deceit
\na savage concentration
\na creative, elite
\nwho see the wolf as walking
\non a higher plain than man
\nand judges them,when really
\nthey are part of a big plan<\/p>\n
The wolf to me
\nhas got to be
\nallowed to run and roam
\nwe steel into his habitat
\nwe take away their home
\nwe concentrate on selfishness
\non our arrogant desire
\nand fail now to absolve him
\naccusing him of fire<\/p>\n
and brimstone, but in point of fact
\nthe innocent they know
\nwild children of the forest
\nmust be allowed to grow
\nits us who concoct stories
\nthat blacken and declare
\nthe wolf to be a monster
\nwho can only bring despair<\/p>\n
The wolf to me
\nis everything
\nthat man in fact could be
\nwho has not allowed
\ncorruption to destroy
\nhis clarity
\ninstinctively he possesses
\ncloseness to his source
\nand that is why is held to be
\nan extra evil force<\/p>\n
Man I do resent this
\nfor the feeble minded do
\nrun out in the wilderness
\noft high on some sick brew
\nnot in control of senses
\nthere’s a mayhem in their head
\nprejudicial pimpernels
\nwho want every wild soul dead<\/p>\n
and the wolf is seen as up there
\nwith the evils and despair
\nwe’ve woven these sad stories
\nand they’re printed everywhere
\nwerewolves born in Hollywood
\nroam the hearts of those
\nchildren in men’s bodies
\nwho hang from life’s gallows<\/p>\n
kicking, twitching demons
\nremnants of the truth
\non opening their mouths, we hear
\nhow terribly uncouth
\nthey are and just so ignorant
\nbut often they have power
\nto overcome the meek the mild
\nthe wolves who will devour<\/p>\n
the weak there is no question
\nand hunters who would dare
\nto come upon a pack
\nand fire their guns into the air
\nwould be ill advised to imagine
\nthat they’d ever turn and run
\nfor here’s an apex hunter
