Zoo\u2019s continue high and mighty
\nPlaces where we are told
\nEndangered species breeding programmes
\nThat is how they are sold
\nThis particular zoo In Germany
\nWith all these precious souls
\nCaptive locked in cages
\nBut just run by arse oles<\/p>\n
Bonfire night rockets fireworks
\nHuman beings who
\nThink it\u2019s great to set off bangers
\nJust next to a zoo
\nThey call themselves the sensitive ones
\nBut sadly for us all
\nThey are callous beings
\nEveryone a fool
\nWhere this zoo was situated
\nWith no guards in situ
\nNo fire alarms just nothing
\nAnd it happened to be our zoo
\nInto making profit
\nBut Proudly telling all
\nthat they were doing gods work
\nAnd of course, who was the fool
\nWho locked the zoo and left us
\nTo the vagaries of man
\nLighting up sky lanterns
\nThat Germany did ban<\/p>\n
And nobody to check the cages
\nNobody to see
\nThe panic and the awful fear
\nThe keepers tragically
\nLeft the place in darkness
\nImagine this will you
\nA silver back with his lady
\nReally clueless to
\nThe danger sitting chatting
\nAnd suddenly we see
\nFlames really all over
\nNo case for sympathy
\nAll of us captured prisoners
\nLocked up waiting they
\nAll burned to a cinder
\nThe innocent always pay<\/p>\n
Before it was with gratefulness
\nThat sense of obligation
\nThank you thank you thank you
\nUnder observation
\nLocked up in our little cage
\nAnd left alone at night
\nWith rockets flying everywhere
\nOf course it wasn\u2019t right<\/p>\n

\nThe Western Lowlands we
\nLoved where creation put us
\nGentle living free
\nThat was until the zoo
\nOf course wanted us to be
\nPart of its breeding programme
\nOur Ill found destiny
\nAnd well I have to tell you
\nOn that fated night
\nEverywhere was black as soot
\nAnd then yea so much light
\nSmoke we smelled the burning
\nFlames we watched them rise
\nScreaming it was awful
\nIt is when someone dies<\/p>\n
We sat there really shivering
\nShaking with the fear
\nThe flames were getting closer
\nVery very near
\nWe tried so hard to get away
\nBut the bars were just so tight
\nAnd so we cuddled together
\nAnd perished on that night<\/p>\n
Every single animal
\nLost their life so sad
\nWatching as the flames lick
\nEver closer
\nMakes you mad
\nWe cuddled up together
\nIn our last embrace
\nShe was really beautiful
\nAnd died in utter grace<\/p>\n
She just passed on so peacefully
\nHolding onto me
\nZoo\u2019s are not fit for purpose
\nPrisons actually
\nTo be treated with irreverence
\nThey neglect us Yes it\u2019s true
\nAnd If we hadn\u2019t been together
