Australia is teetering
\nThe bush fires are alight
\nBurning across the precious land
\nMorning noon and night
\nWildness being subjected
\nTo the vagaries of man
\nTo his arrogance and ignorance
\nAnd how his traits do span
\nThe cattle and the sheep he keeps
\nAre suffering as well
\nBurning up some surviving
\nBut being shot their hell
\nReally unsupported by man whose rarely kind
\nProfit based it must be faced
\nThe aftermath we find<\/p>\n
The animals burned to a crisp
\nKanga\u2019s and Koala
\nGoanna\u2019s all are suffering
\nFodder for the parlour
\nTrees were cut down long ago
\nFracking underway
\nAdani scooping tons of coal
\nLet\u2019s all look the other way
\nThe barrier reef is crumbling
\nThe dugong crumbling too
\nNative rights create the frights
\nIt\u2019s what happens view
\nThe commercial prospects
\nOf an open market where
\nNatives can kill what they wish
\nbut remain unaware<\/p>\n
The politicians clearly
\nTreading water they
\nHands in pockets walk around
\nThe burned out towns and say
\nShake this hand shake that hand
\nSmile and walk away
\nAs everywhere is burning hot
\nAnd it\u2019s wildness that must pay.
\nWhat will be the answer
\nShooters out there soon
\nLines of cars Evacuating
\nUnder a new moon
\nNew South Wales and Victoria
\nHomes just lost and gone
\nThe outback know the suffering
\nWhich just goes on and on<\/p>\n
Millions of gods creatures
\nLost for evermore
\nJust no where to hide tHese days
\nWhat was it all for
\nEncroaching into wild places
\nWith their concrete and their glass
\nTrees felled subjugation
\nAs WiFi comes to pass
\nTech spreads it\u2019s pollution
\nEverywhere we go
\nTetra towers and WiFi
\nAnd Five g all on show
\nMiraculously carving out
\nThe freedom of the now
\nWhere the biosphere is at a point
\nWhere it just cannot allow<\/p>\n
Science to continue
\nThe madness to go on
\nHooked up to the system
\nOur senses all but gone
\nThe gap between the human forms
\nAnd the animals of the wild
\nCavernous and frightening
\nAnd it won\u2019t be reconciled.<\/p>\n
