Alabaster and marble a chalky design
\nCoupled with cold winds where many souls dine
\nOn other souls living and trying to hide
\nCamouflaged somewhere but they are denied
\nTheir lives little Lemmings scurry about
\nUnder the snow where their dreams are no doubt
\nUnable to see that out in the snow
\nAbove their heads arctic foxes do know
\nWonderful hearing denotes secret ways
\nAnd the fox takes a leap of faith
\nworthy of praise
\nNose first he opens a pathways to where
\nThe poor little Lemming find instant despair
\nMany would think that the wanderers might
\ntake on the climate and try to invite
\nThemselves to the party the biggest around
\nBut the others are geared up to cover the ground<\/p>\n
The hare white as driven snow a ball of fluff
\nBehold the big freeze life here is tough
\nBut the hares they are fast like the clappers they go
\nAnd can see without turning their heads
\nDont you know
\nScratching the snow looking for tender green
\nThe pure white owl a torpedo so mean
\nAs quiet as can be just a whisper in flight
\nAnd swallow prey whole not even one bite<\/p>\n
SNOW Buntings come with their joyful refrain
\nTne Willow Ptarmingan with much to gain
\nFrom its big feathered snow shoes makes walking a
\nJoy
\nAll of gods creatures here try to employ<\/p>\n
All sorts of staying power they have the way
\nUntiring and constant and really they say
\nNAture is extraordinary just how life flows
\nAnd they seem undiscouraged they seemingly chose
\nThe great Northern Lights to break into the sky
\nThe swish of the wind and the ice in the eye
\nAnd unwavering journey to exploit and chase
\nA constant demand for the lemmings to face<\/p>\n
None are fAinthearted its brutal out here
\nThe climate is warming so it would appear
\nRed foxes much bigger than the arctic white
\nAre coming further North and are at the height
\nObstinate critters who clearly now stamp
\nTheir incredible prowess as the new champ<\/p>\n
A great state of wonder a shocked silence grows
\nAn icy phenomenon the end of ones nose
\nDribbled and frozen ones breath frozen too
\nEven ones eyes from the tears it is true
\nSo many heroes out there each day
\nnot just the Polar Bear walking his way
\nBut all of gods creatures beautiful souls
