There in the road
\nThe little dog lay
\nWhere he had been hit
\nHad been made to pay
\nFor just being there
\nNot moved out of the way
\nOr loved or caressed
\nWhat can one say<\/p>\n
Clearly a collision
\nA car and a soul
\nNo matter whose fault
\nThere is now a role
\nFor a victim and an angel
\nTo come to the fore
\nBut only the victim
\nLies very unsure<\/p>\n
We were called
\nThe street angels
\nAs a baby did fade
\nWe are
\nAnimals unlimited aid
\nNear the TB hospital
\nIn Rajasthan
\nWith a life now
\nApparently right down the pan<\/p>\n
We took him to hospital
\nBleeding awAy
\nFrom his mouth a long stream
\nIt\u2019s so hard to say
\nHow badly he was
\nBut clearly his pain
\nWas urgent and why
\nHis blood did now drain<\/p>\n
We gave him some pain meds
\nAnd cleaned him and saw
\nHe was very skinny
\nneglected for sure
\nNot too much love
\nPlus being hit
\nAnd he laid out in front of us
\nHurting a bit<\/p>\n
After some days
\nHe began to eat
\nHe still couldn\u2019t stand by himself
\nBut the treat
\nWas He started to eat by himself
\nHe had joy
\nAnd by day 5
\nRecovered he just didn\u2019t die<\/p>\n
He just loved the cuddles
\nThat our people gave
\nWe were here for him
\nAnd that started to save
\nHis life his commitment
\nHis happiness he
\nCame back from the dead
\nTo where he wanted to be<\/p>\n
