Of mortal fear and terror
\nWhere the sett is home to be
\nA badger bold though timid
\nIn his perfect sanctuary
\nValour is a key word in his vital armoury
\nA brave face to the outside world
\nFlushed by tenacity
\nFear and trepidation
\nThe flutter and the shock
\nUneasiness abounds today
\nSuch phobias unlock
\nWhat is a paranoia
\nFrom evil men who feel
\nThe need for blame and consequence

The true and honest reasoning
\nFor why we badgers bleed
\nSo often in the copses
