Fear and dread was evident
\nOn this puppy that we found
\nMange had really destroyed her skin
\nAnd she just ran around
\nFearful now of everybody
\nHer phobias were many
\nWhen we tried to approach her
\nThere just wasn\u2019t any
\nWay to catch her
\nBut we needed to
\nAnd so chased her
\nAnd then cornered her
\nWith a net
\nAnd she did go
\nInto a model boat
\nIn someone\u2019s garden
\nAnd we caught
\nUp with her and took him home
\nIn our blanket which she thought<\/p>\n
Was good her skin was awful
\nHow sore it must have been
\nSHe had big wounds all over her
\nThese maggots were obscene
\nEating her alive in fact
\nThe agony and pain
\nWe powdered her and bandaged her
\nAnd let the fester drain<\/p>\n
Everyday we changed her dressings
\nWashed the wounds and gave her care
\nLoved her cuddled her showed affection
\nEvery day with her did share
\nTime and healing soon revealing
\nHer skin was softer we could see
\nHer demeanour was improving
\nShe was happy actually<\/p>\n
We called her \u201cmikki\u201d she was joyous
\nShe loved cuddles and we do
\nAlways cuddle all our babies
\nAnd it\u2019s obvious and true
\nSpayed her and we vaccinated
\nAnd if you see her any day
\nShe runs about the yard like crazy
