\nWhen I was a boy
\nMy garden was just full of them
\nWhich did bring me some joy
\nBut now the little blighters
\nApparently believe
\nThere possibly are better places
\nFor them to achieve
\nHouse sparrows and tree sparrows
\nHave decided that they should
\nMove off to other climates
\nReally because they could
\nEven to the Faroe Islands
\nYou can find them now
\nWhere ever cultivation exists
\nThat\u2019s really how<\/p>\n
Wherever there is wilderness
\nThe sparrow will not be
\nHe needs a farmer in his life
\nSo he can then be free
\nSo Actually parasitic
\nWhich is their need you see
\nWithout us cultivating
\nAs a host they cannot be
\nAnd they have cuckoo tendencies
\nStealing other nests
\nA domed structure in the trees
\nPasses all their tests
\nBut given half the chance
\nThe poor old Swallow finds
\nA sparrow actually in his
\n nest
\nExhibiting all the signs
\nThat really he should be there
\nA Lifetime lodger he
\nPrefers to move in to a nest
