The obtuseness and na\u00efvet\u00e9 of the public
\nThe so called hunts that shouldn\u2019t be allowed
\nFollowing a trail a denial that does sail
\nOut across oblivion for every likely tale
\nThat we come across where riders and hounds
\nAre in the field
\nChasing precious foxes
\nWith excuses they then yield
\nMany a frightened animal of one sort or another
\nIn this case it was FLUffy a ten year old cat mother
\nAn 80 year old lady in her own garden
\nWho saw
\nHer family member tore to shreds
\nHaving to witness blood and gore<\/p>\n
Imagine for a moment the probability
\nJust how could it happen
\nHunting shouldn\u2019t be
\nAnywhere at all these days
\nThere is a hunting ban
\nBut of course these jumped scumbags
\nWill never find a fan
\nWith me and many others
\nThey are a scourge and should
\nBe shut down and prevented
\nFor there is just no good<\/p>\n
And sure enough some 30 or so Beagles
\nFound a hole
\nand got into a garden
\nWhere fluffy had her role
\nOf playing near her guardian
\nAnd within a moment she
\nWas picked up by the baying brood
\nAnd murdered mercilessly<\/p>\n
And all in front of the lady
\nShe watched her dear cat die
\nTorn to pieces pulled apart
\nIn the wink of an eye
\nHounds that shouldn\u2019t ever be
\nIn her garden, they
\nWere clearly criminally trespassing
\nOn that awful day<\/p>\n
ROSS HARRIERS Hunt said sorry
\nAnd brought some flowers along
\nA life was lost a terrible cost
\nWhere everything was wrong
\nA beautiful cat was murdered
\nA lady watched it all
\nThe stress the grief the suffering
\nThe iniquitous display
\nThe shameful and distressing act
\nOn that awful day<\/p>\n
A pursuit that took those animals
\nInto her garden, she
\nTrailing there\u2019s a failing
\nThey never should ever be
\nAnywhere near a private garden
\nThere can be no excuse
\nAfter all a life is a priceless thing
\nThey should never have been loose<\/p>\n
Hunting was banned years ago
\nWatch my lips when \u2018I
\nSay despite the law they still go out and hunt
\nAnd why
\nThey are not hunting foxes when we all know they are
\nThe culture is despicable
\nAnd honestly they are far<\/p>\n
Off the beaten track of life
\nCarrying on as they
\nThink they have the upper hand
\nWith their cultural display
\nThe bulk of Britain doesn\u2019t want their ugliness
\nAround
\nWe want to protect the wild life
\nThat is what I have found<\/p>\n
The police and the government ought to
\nMake it abundantly clear
\nHunting really in all it\u2019s forms
\nShould be banned
\nFor all the fear
\nThat comes with chasing wild souls
\nAcross and through our land
\nIs barbarity and brutality
\nIt\u2019s Ill wishing and Ill willed
\nSpiteful and malicious
\nAnimals being killed
\nIt\u2019s wrong in every aspect
\nUnforgiving and hostile
\nCallous and sadistic
\nAnd certainly does rile<\/p>\n
Many many of us
\nWho see the spoils about
\nThe wretched corpses of the foxes
\nWe are in no doubt
\nWhatever the excuses
\nClearly foxes are
\nBeing torn to ribbons
\nAnd the countryside we scar<\/p>\n
A genuine lack of pity
\nOf heartlessness exchanged
\nCompassion is out of fashion
\nAs hunters are deranged
\nWatching hounds demolish
\nWild creatures like this cat
\nThis is what is happening
\nThis is where we are at<\/p>\n
A bunch of flowers
\nAn insult
\nAn apology for what
\nA precious life
\nJust stolen
\nA soul smashed on the spot
\nThere are no words
\nPoor fluffy what an awful way
\nTo go and meet ones maker
\nThe price too high to pay<\/p>\n
But it happens really all over
\nOn country lanes where we
\nIn streets around the countryside
\nRiders yes we see
\nFull of gloat and arrogance
\nImagining that they
\nHave the right to do whatever
\nAnd it is that have to pay<\/p>\n
Hunting should be closed down
\nAll these hunts be told
\nHit them with huge fines<\/p>\n
That really hurt them
\nLet\u2019s be bold
\nThe countryside wants peace and quiet
\nNot galloping horse and hound
\nAnd whining yelling maddening frightful
\nChurning up the ground
\nFrightening the wild life
\nIt\u2019s wrong on every turn
\nIt\u2019s immoral and it\u2019s wicked
\nAnd it really does concern<\/p>\n
