A pool of blood
\nThat\u2019s ominous
\nOozing from her nose
\nA phantom shriek
\nAnd whimpering
\nIn agony I suppose
\nGiving up each as each moment passes
\nThis is what you do
\nWhen faced with the inevitable
\nAnd no one has a clue<\/p>\n
A bitch with all her life
\nBehind her
\nNeglected and alone
\nThe good thoughts had all left her
\nHer heart felt like a stone
\nWe found her
\nWrapped her in our blanket
\nAnd carried back to
\nThe ambulance
\nAnd the happy face
\nOf our angel crew<\/p>\n
She was clearly close to going over
\nThe other side was beckoning her
\nAnd she
\nWasn\u2019t conscious
\nMaybe a brain injury
\nIV fluids
\nBrought her back
\nTo be
\nPaddled whimpered
\nWhere was she
\nStill here ready so to be
\nHealed
\nThat\u2019s what we do all day
\nSave the lost souls
\nIn every way<\/p>\n
Day three she couldn\u2019t eat a thing
\nCouldn\u2019t lift her head to bring
\nSo We persist syringe and all
\nBy Day 5 she answered the call
\nAnd she could eat
\nMore kisses we
\nGave her, cuddled her
\nSo happy
\nWagging her tail
\nStaring us down
\nThe most beautiful soul
\nIn all the town.<\/p>\n
