Neglected and there on her own
\nLying motionless
\nOn a pavement
\nYes in Rajasthan
\nThe street angels they found
\n\u201cSona\u201d Apparently peaceful
\nAlone there on the ground<\/p>\n
Clearly a brain injury
\nNo fractures none at all
\nBut still she was unconscious
\nAnd unresponsive to our call
\nHer neurological responses
\nWere also very low
\nBut we found she had an injury
\nAnd dressed it and let her know
\nWe loved her for we stroked her
\nCalmed her let her be
\nWe fed her with a small syringe
\nTrying just to see
\nIf we could get some food in her
\nSo very weak poor soul
\nBy the 6 th day she was moving
\nBut hardly in control
\nBut we carried on regardless
\nLoving her, feeding her we
\nWill never give up
\nOn our patients
\nEven an eternity
\nDay ten she began to try to eat
\nBy herself and she
\nFound it difficult but kept on trying
\nA warrior you see
\nShe really was a brave girl
\nLapping water too
\nAnd she loved it when we cuddled her
\nWhich of course we all do.<\/p>\n
6 weeks of intensive care
\nAnd she had her first try
\nShe was wobbly she fell over
\nBut got up again and why
\nShe clearly had a great big heart beating
\nIn her chest
\nShe looked around and wanted more
\nAnd this would be her test
\nShe continued to fall over
\nTo be wobbly and she
\nGot so many cuddles
\nFrom everyone and we
\nmanaged to find a foster home
\nWho would care for her and she
\nIs now fully recovered
\nWith her brand new family<\/p>\n
They have a lovely garden
\nAnd Two kittens both very small
\nWho play with her
\nShe guides them
\nAnd comes when they call
\nHer joy is so so moving
\nWhen we remember how she was
\nAnd how she has recovered
\nReally just because
\nShe was such a fighter
\nAnd love and care can be
\nMiracles they did work here
\nIf all of you could see
\nShe isn\u2019t wobbly anymore
\nShe runs around the place
\nAnd joy is written clearly
