A street dog
\nCalled \u201cGeorgie\u201d
\nCrying
\nA sad song
\nHe, hit by a car
\nHis back legs were busted
\nreally not moving
\nPoor little soul couldn\u2019t get very far<\/p>\n
We were called
\nThe street angels
\nAnd there he was sitting
\nYelping in pain at the top of his voice
\nFrightened for sure
\nAnd incredibly sore
\nApparently he had no choice
\nWe managed to catch him
\nThough boy was he fearful
\nBetween two of us and the blanket
\nWe had
\nWe clutched him and wrapped
\nHim
\nup in the blanket
\nAnd took him back
\nAll the time he was sad<\/p>\n
Laid him on a table
\nHis spine clearly damaged
\nNerve damage trauma
\nPoor little man
\nOut on the streets no one to
\nLove him
\nKnocked down and that\u2019s how all this
\nPain began<\/p>\n
He back legs were stiff
\nNo weight could he manage
\nJust dragged them along
\nall we could do was to
\nmassage and manipulate
\nDay after day
\nHe seemed confused
\nBut clearly was strong<\/p>\n
After three weeks
\nOf cuddles and massageS
\nCaring and sharing
\nHe really came on
\nHe slept in a wash bowl
\nAnd danced around softly
\nLoved all the cuddles and treats
\nA sweet soul
\nWe gave him physio kisses a plenty
\nAnd he responded with rapture
\nAnd joy
\nClearly neglected for years
\nI\u2019m suspecting
\nAnd showing him love
\nBrought out so much from that boy<\/p>\n
He was wanting to play
\nStill a bit of limp
\nBut as strong as an ox
\nAnd raring to go
\nWhen you remember how weak
\nAnd how terribly frightened! He was
