How long he \u2018d been lying there
\nNobody knew
\nBut a little boy found him
\nAnd knew what to do
\nCalled animal aid unlimited
\nAnd they came by
\nWrapped him in blanket
\nWhich made the boy cry
\nHe was happy to know
\nThat his friend would soon be
\nIn hospital where
\nLove and care, it was free
\nBack there we examined him
\nTwo legs were tied
\nWith string
\nIt cut deeply
\nAnd it mystified
\nUs who would do such a thing
\nClearly they
\nWould have been unaware
\nAnd To just walk away<\/p>\n
The poor soul was heaving
\nWas Upset And was sore
\nHe could\u2019nt stand up
\nOf that we were sure
\nWe sedated him
\nAnd cut the string
\nClean away
\nWashed and flushed
\nAll the necrotic flesh
\nThat did play
\nInto the pain poor \u201cJITU\u201d
\nCould feel
\nAfter day two
\nHe ate food just a little
\nSome others need feeding
\nAnd with love and care
\nSo many get better
\nAnd he was aware<\/p>\n
Compression bandages
\nCuddles galore
\nThe swelling went down
\nWhich we all could adore
\nTo see him with less pain
\nAnd mobility
\nAfter a weeks rest in bed
\nWe could see
\nBoth legs were saved
\nIf that little boy
\nHad not been so kind
\nThen all of our joy
\nWould not have been possible
\nFor what we see
\nIs \u201cJITU\u201d
\nIs as happy now as he can be<\/p>\n
He walks around the hard
\nTail wagging away
\nAnd he makes us all happy
\nWe found him that day
\nWe have our haven
\nIn Rajasthan
\nWe work with street animals
\nBecause we can
\nIt\u2019s lovely to see them
\nGet better each day
