Lost and abandoned
\nonce was I
\nforced to wander
\nwondering why
\nthe ground was grass
\nthe ceiling sky
\nand my release
\nonly to cry
\nnobody loved me
\nno one cared
\nI had my life
\nbut no one shared
\nhow empty I felt
\njust so much woe
\nand my eyes did smart
\nfrom the salty flow<\/p>\n
in the forest
\nI did sleep
\nwhere the wilder
\nsouls do creep
\nin the litter
\namongst the leaves
\nwhere the hunted earthling
\nweaves
\nthrough the spirit world
\nof victims
\nshot by bowmen who
\ndo not have a hope in hell
\nand don’t know what they do<\/p>\n
creating melancholia
\nthat sinks into the earth
\nand I alone picked up on it
\nand realised their worth
\nwild children of the forest
\nwho come in different forms
\nthey’re never target practice
\nbut there are clearly swarms
\nof spirits idling everywhere
\nlike me, lost, but still aware<\/p>\n
the human being possibly
\nmay seek a change and begin to see
\nbegin to feel begin to know
\nthat beneath his feet
\nnew life can grow<\/p>\n
beneath his chest
\nhis heart can feel
\nthat the wild children
\nare also real
\nthey live, they love
\nthey see, they know
\nits where they live
\nand if we go<\/p>\n
into the wild
\nwe leave behind
\nthe aggressive shackles
\nof our mind
\nremembering those real times of woe
\nwhen unloved we wandered to and fro
\nand spare the souls
\nwho wander free
