\nThey are the ones
\nSecurity personnel
\nYea there are tons
\nAll over the world
\nExercising their power
\nProving to many
\nhour upon hour<\/p>\n
They actually folks
\nDisrespect is out there
\nSo many fall victim
\nAnd live in despair
\nTake this old veteran
\nA street dog of old
\nBlind in both eyes
\nBut as good as gold<\/p>\n
Living on the streets
\nImagine that task
\nNoise traffic all sorts
\nSo much to ask
\nOf a blind dog
\nYet this dog was out there
\nGiving her all
\nAnd getting by
\nWell as a rule<\/p>\n
Then one of those hitler types
\nChased her away
\nHe could see she could not
\nBut she would pay
\nDown by the lakeside
\nA thorny hole
\nShe was trapped there for two days
\nPoor little soul<\/p>\n
An aching heart
\nEverywhere black
\nNoises at night
\nAll of that flack
\nNothing to drink
\nNothing to eat
\nShe could just hear her heart beating
\nTrying to cheat<\/p>\n
Herself being frantic
\nUnknowingly she
\nWould yelp in her sleep
\nWould cry and would be
\nLost to the world
\nNobody to care
\nAll these thorny roots
\nIt just wasn\u2019t fair<\/p>\n
Old many years
\nMany tears many fears
\nAnd now she resigned
\nTo die it appears
\nA lost soul completely
\nWith no where to go
\nWith no one to love her
\nIt really does throw<\/p>\n
One into a world
\nThat is cruel and that\u2019s mean
\nWandering around
\nAs she has been
\nPeople throw stones at her
\nA bottle as well
\nChase her and strike her
\nAnd make her life Hell<\/p>\n
And so she was lying there
\nShaking away
\nAll the irreverence
\nComing her way
\nSo much disfavour
\nWhat had she done
\nBawled out for nothing
\nOut in the hot sun<\/p>\n
Then there was this angel
\nA young man and he
\nHad crawled into her hole
\nAnd yes he could see
\nHer so withdrawn so forlorn
\nAnd he knew
\nShe was blind as a bat
\nYes that much was true<\/p>\n
Frightened and timid
\nThe shabby world was
\nJust falling down on her
\nWhich was because
\nShe was blind
\nShe was old
\nNo one loved
\nOld souls they
\nShout at them
\nThrow things
\nFrighten them away<\/p>\n
Waist deep in water
\nThe angel exclaimed
\nHe lifted
\nHer up
\nAnd then he blamed
\nAll of those people
\nWhose caring was gone
\nRealising confusion
\nHad now stretched upon<\/p>\n
A pooch in a hole
\nand the need was that he
\nWould rescue this soul
\nFrom the Bowels and would see
\nSo dehydrated
\nSo full of fear
\nShaking and shivering
\nWhen he did appear<\/p>\n
Back at the hospital
\nTrauma akin
\nGave her some fluids
\nShe was so thin
\nPut her on love row
\nWhere every one must
\nCuddle and kiss her
\nAnd pat her well just<\/p>\n
Replace the fright
\nAnd the hate and the pain
\nConsole her enrol her
\nInto love again
\nGive her a sanctuary
\nFor ever more
\nBless her for her goodness
\nLess was for sure
\nSomething to be said for
\nHer rights that must be
\nAll that is owing
\nAnd that is key<\/p>\n
To her transformation
\nAs house dog who will
\nBe here forever
\nHer rights are still
\nWe all will be friends of hers
\nAnd we can say
\nWe are grateful she found us
\nShe\u2019s our blessing today<\/p>\n
