Lying in a corner of someones dusty yard
\nA dog amongst the rubbish
\nFearful and on guard
\nIn all trepidation
\nAs frightened as could be
\nHis right ear torn and bleeding
\nClearly in agony
\nIt wasnt all that easy
\nTo coax him to be still
\nWrap him in a blanket
\nFor any movement will
\nCause his head to move
\nAnd clearly Aggravate
\nBut very gently carried
\nHim And did soon sedate<\/p>\n
Our little friend
\nWho clearly had a really
\nAwful ear
\nWe had to surgically remove it
\nThat much was very clear
\nIt must have been such agony
\nTo tear an ear off and he
\nHad clearly wanted not to move
\nCalling for gallantry
\nAfter a spell of extra care
\nlittle “Banjo” he had healed
\nWith regular food and water
\nAnd love and care
\nRevealed
\nA lovely friendly doggie side
\nWho enjoyed the loving care
\nThat everybody gave him
\nFor him such love was rare<\/p>\n
He played ball loved to run around
\nTail wagging all the time
\nHe ate his food with gusto
\nAnd loved to bob and climb
\nHe hadnt lost his taste for play
\nOur little one eared friend
\nWho seemed to hear and see and play
\nAnd drive us around the bend.<\/p>\n
