\nHope had left him
\nDeterioration
\nAnd decline
\nExhaustion
\nOn a downward course

Of lack of care

\nOf neglect

\nHis solace broke

He was very very nervous
\nUntouched for long time
\nWe gave him medicated baths
\nFor the mange produced a slime
\nA white sloughing of skin
\nPoor soul
\nBut by day ten
\nHe looked good
\nA healing had begun
\nWhich showed us that he could<\/p>\n
Break out of his depression
\nBut a duty of care
\nOf love of kisses
\nOf cuddles
\nWith him we did share
\nAll of them
\nFrom all of us
\nAnd two months
\nYou could see
\nA beautiful dog
\nWith perfect skin
\nLooking back and free<\/p>\n
Wagging his tail
\nEating snacks
\nHis eyes were bright
\nAnd he
\nWas really enjoying his life again
\nAs anyone could see
\nAll that mange was over
\nHe just looked a treat
\nTransformed by love
\nAnd caring
\nAnd pleased when we did greet<\/p>\n
