By a dry stone wall
\nA cloud of flies
\nAnd one small dog
\nReally lying motionless
\nJust another cog
\nIn the great big world of animals
\nLying in the street
\nWho nobody takes any notice of
\nJust lying soaking up the heat<\/p>\n
\u201cSydney\u201d one such doggie
\nHe wouldn\u2019t take any food
\nHe wasn\u2019t really moving
\nJust a laid back dude
\nBut around his backside
\nArea
\nWere loads and loads of flies
\nAnd we observed an awful wound
\nAnd then could realise<\/p>\n
He must have just been suffering
\nHis hind legs paralysed
\nWe carried him to hospital
\nAnd hoped to stabilise
\nHe was very friendly
\nBut clearly in some pain
\nHe couldn\u2019t walk at all in fact
\nWhen we tried him again<\/p>\n
It took about two weeks
\nOf trial and error
\nGaining strength and confidence as well
\nHis spine was really weak
\nBut what he did was seek
\nattention love and caring
\nWe could tell<\/p>\n
Basically a really splendid animal
\nIt wasn\u2019t long before he was running around
\nPlaying with the ladies
\nHe seemed to love them so
\nReally enjoying his freedom
\nSo we found.<\/p>\n
Again you see it\u2019s healing
\nHere Comes the caring\u201d stance
\nOf gently nursing &cuddling
\nIt all does enhance
\nThe experience the process
\nAnd Sydney found it so
\nEverything went right to plan
\nAnd he is home now as you know.<\/p>\n
