\nHad been knocked down by a car
\nAnd dragged along the road
\nA hit and run
\nWho knows how far
\nThere he was amongst the rubbish
\nTins and crap and everything

Someone did this awful thing
\nLeft him bleeding by the road
\nAll sorts of wounds a right old state
\nCarrying this extra load
\nSuffering out in the sun
\nNothing to eat or drink
\nNo fun
\nAt all, hopeful it appeared
\nBut sadly all around he feared<\/p>\n
Shock and awe had settled in
\nWounds infected and his skin
\nTorn and ruined just everywhere
\nSuffering some real despair
\nWe picked him up
\nAnd brought him in
\nThe hospital and did begin
\nHis examination took a while
\nDehydrated off the dial
\nSo many wounds maggots too
\nAnd very very frail it\u2019s true
\nWe cleaned him up and dressed his wounds
\nGave him fluids everyone
\nWatched him settle
\nClearly he

Calves have feelings
\nAnd they are deep set
\nVery responsive
\nThey will let
\nTheir feelings be known
\nWhen we proceed
\nTo comfort them

To observe their watchfulness
