At Twycross Zoo in Leicestershire
\nYesterday we saw
\nA giraffe called EPESI
\nKick the bucket
\nIt\u2019s hard to ignore
\n11 years old a baby still
\nDeveloped a Bad hoof
\nIt was causing him some problems
\nIf we needed any proof<\/p>\n
His name in Swahili
\nMeant swift
\nAnd he became
\nSlow of gait
\nWhat was his fate
\nSadly what they claim
\nWas he had an operation
\nAnd never woke up again
\nThe tedium of living in a zoo
\nBecame a strain<\/p>\n
In the wild they live
\nA lot longer
\nFreedom is their thing
\nWandering where they want to
\nTo the Bush they kind of bring
\nA towering vegetarian
\nLeaf lover from on high
\nWith a tongue as long as anyone
\nBut sadly he did die<\/p>\n
A high risk operation
\nUncertain from the start
\nHe lost his thread
\nHe missed his way
\nI guess it broke his heart
\nnot mad on anaesthesia
\nEverlasting sleep
\nApparently he took that way
