\nQuietly her existence at
\nThe crossroads life for her
\nWas mean
\nJust meagreness nothing had been
\nHappy for a long long time
\nIt felt meaningless
\nTo try and climb
\nOut of where she was today
\nWeaker really one can say<\/p>\n
Of gentle disposition she
\nWas suffering now constantly
\nAn awful wound that pained her so
\nShe thought she was dying
\nAs the flow
\nOf life was leaving
\nAnimal aid unlimited came
\nAnd on her laid<\/p>\n
Their blanket
\nLifting her gently to
\nThe hospital
\nWhat could they do
\nShe\u2019d was even covered in flies
\nAnd their eggs had laid
\nMaggots were thus
\nNow on parade
\nShe was very weak
\nAnd very sore
\nBut still realised what life was for<\/p>\n
They washed her thoroughly
\nFrom head to toe
\nWashed the wound
\nAnd they did know
\nThat she was closer to death
\nThan some
\nSo dressed her wounds
\nAnd knew how numb<\/p>\n
She was inside
\nAnd every day
\nThey changed her dressings
\nAnd to her did say
\nHow much they loved her
\nAnd patted her too
\nThe genuineness it did accrue<\/p>\n
She was dehydrated
\nBadly so
\nSo very weak
\nCould she now throw
\nThe negativity from her soul
\nEngage her spirit
\nTake on a role
\nOf she could make it
\nWith love and care
\nShe could do it
\nAnywhere<\/p>\n
She felt outshone
\nPossibly so
\nFor weeks she suffered
\nWe didn\u2019t know
\nFor certain if she just could
\nPull through
\nWhether in side she wanted to<\/p>\n
But the love that\u2019s given
\nKnows no bounds
\nThere is peace and goodwill
\nAnd gentle sounds
\nThere is order and routine
\nAnd friends about
\nIt\u2019s harmonious
\nAnd when you are out<\/p>\n
In the yard it\u2019s sunny
\nAnd angels do
\nSpend Time loving all of you
\nIt\u2019s a lovely place
\nWhere we all are friends
\nThere\u2019s no ugly banter
\nAnd of course it sends
\nEven the sad ones
\nInto glee
\nAnd Shanti she just loved

With us all one of the gang
\nDisplaced animals
\nReally hang
