Oliver was prostrate
\nTo all the world he seemingly
\nWas dead or very close to dying
\nHalf under a car was he
\nCovered in a mass of flies
\nMotionless just there
\nLying in the gutter

Animal is unlimited
\nThe angel if the street
\nWere notified and came to see
\nHis countenance replete
\nThreatened by the end game
\nHis weakness all could see
\nChallenged by his circumstance
\nThreatened constantly<\/p>\n
Wrapped up in a blanket
\nAnd taken back to where
\nLove and kindness fill each moment
\nAnd people there share
\nLove and pure compassion
\nAnd so his journey began
\nHis temperature was very low
\nAnd so began the plan<\/p>\n
Lots of IV fluids
\nAnd amazingly when he
\nAwoke his spirit danced above him
\nHe wanted to be
\nAlive and joyful clearly
\nWas not ready to go
\nHe had respiratory problems
\nBut all of us did know<\/p>\n
Oliver was really game
\nTo fight and to win through
\nHe was very amiable and friendly
\nHe was true
\nTo himself wanting to walk by himself
\nThough very weak
\nThe grace of god was on his side
\nLife he\u2019s he did seek<\/p>\n
Within two months
\nHe was running about
\nA joyful boy
\nLoved to be picked up
\nAnd cuddled
\nHis tail a wagging ploy
\nHe was everybody\u2019s favourite
\nA mopsy in a way
\nReally liking loving words
