I have been around a while you know
\nInside I am young but have lost the flow
\nOf youth a bit of chasing balls
\nI enjoy just being between these walls
\nIt\u2019s the aches and pains
\nThe rigours for me
\nMy guardian Laura really you see
\nShe\u2019s always busy
\nWalking the hounds
\nMeeting the stars
\nDoing the rounds<\/p>\n
As for Me I am happy just sitting still
\nPondering, that some day I will
\nGet out more it\u2019s the aches and pains
\nFor she gives me an oil
\nThat releases those chains
\nThat I felt were forming
\nStopping me run
\nIt\u2019s the nightly pain
\nIt is just no fun<\/p>\n
Of course I like to chase a ball
\nTo jump up sometimes, when people call
\nIt\u2019s as I get older that I be
\nHappy to just sit, well just quietly
\nDreaming of friends along the way
\nAnd why I prefer to stay in all day<\/p>\n
Laura and Nicole are good to me
\nI feel like their favourite
\nThat they love me
\nAs I get older it means a lot
\nSomeone who cares
\nBecause a lot are not
\nAs fortunate as me
\nWith love around
\nOh yes there\u2019s money
\nBut though they are drowned
\nIn things, in food in stuff to do
\nMany lack love and affection too<\/p>\n
Life is busy on the worlds stage
\nAnd an older pet is more of a sage
\nHe recollects the journeys he
\nEnjoyed and thanks to CBD
\nThat Laura got and supplements
\nIn many ways her real good sense
\nHas brought me to thinking really that I
\nHave more years in me before I die<\/p>\n
I know she loves me and certainly
\nAs we age it\u2019s how we see
\nThe journey ending
\nThat makes us feel
\ncontemplative and extra real<\/p>\n
I have heard her say my Dexter he
\nHad gone down hill a bit you see
\nWhen The old joints ache the old heart feels
\nIt\u2019s good to dream for that reveals
\nA sort of resurgence inside of me
\nMore mental perhaps
\nWhere I can see<\/p>\n
And remember the good times
\nLong ago
\nWhen I ran about and would always go
\nRunning off hoping I
\nWould meet with others
\nAnd under the sky
\nI did of course I sniffed my way
\nAround the place
\nAnd I learned each day
\nThat a real good home
\nWith people who care
\nIs so important
\nAnd when they are somewhere
\nElse you know
\nDeep down inside
\nThat they think of you
\nWhich helps with the pride
\nI don\u2019t get depressed
\nFor my Laura she
