For eight years at least
\nIt\u2019s been happening
\nQuietly I believe
\nThe FAROE Island butchers
\nHoping to deceive
\nAnybody really
\nWho they don\u2019t want to know
\nHow carcasses from the pilot whales
\nThey murder
\nGrow and grow <\/p>\n
underneath the Sea
\nIn a secret crevice where
\nSkulls and ribs
\nand
\nVertebrae
\nAre dumped without a care
\nWithout respect and honour
\nOf the ocean and the whales
\nDivers who saw them cried below
\nIt\u2019s one of the saddest tales<\/p>\n
As far as the eye can see down there
\nA graveyard the unborn torn away
\nClearly parts of Pregnant whales
\nCarnage so to say
\nMiracles and the Faroese
\nAll they do is hunt
\nand drive and slaughter
\nThe whole pod
\nTheir constancy would stunt<\/p>\n
The growth of mind and matter
\nObdurate they be
\nIt\u2019s all about tradition
\nThey live tenaciously
\nLike Vikings when it comes to it
\nSlaughtering the whales
\nMothers children tiny babies
\nThe unborn foetus pales<\/p>\n
Into insignificance
\nRespect for infants NO
\nEvery soul is game and will be killed
\nPart of the flow
\nThe family tree wiped out of course
\nThe agony the pain
\nThe stress caused to the parents
\nDrives elders insane<\/p>\n
But loyal they are
\nthey will not leave
\nHeroes every one
\nfrom Leynar to Vestmanna
\nWhen the day is done
\nCrane loads are ejected
\nSome with blubber still
\nScattered across the ocean floor
\nLike disrespectful swill<\/p>\n
Local household waste
\nAnd generator parts
\nThe ocean is their dustbin
\nThey break all our hearts
\nAnd again this week after the grind
\nMore eyes were on the scene
\nAnd pictures left on Facebook
\nAre really just obscene<\/p>\n
Dumping carnage into
\nThe ocean is a sin
\nA waste of life and body parts
\nCan you hear the din
\nOf lots of people crying
\nWe are we are crying we
\nHave watched the murdering going on
\nAnd it doesn\u2019t have to be<\/p>\n
It\u2019s not as if they are starving
\n50,000 there
\nSupermarkets packed with goods
\nSalmon farming where
\nSalmon farms exporting
\nThe world their oyster here
\nBut pilot whale pods have to die
\nAnd swim in total fear<\/p>\n
To still be doing grindadrap
\nKilling on the sand
\nKnifing them and making each
\nFeel the killers hand
\nStabbing them and slicing them
\nBeside their parents they
\nAre sentient they live emotions
\nBut it has to be the way<\/p>\n
Culture and tradition
\nThat\u2019s their straight up shout
\nYou eat beef and chicken
\nSo what\u2019s it all About
\nYou have all your slaughterhouses
\nWe just use the beach
\nWhy don\u2019t you mind your own business
