A summers day a tranquil pond
\nA place to meditate and be
\nDrifting through the waving reeds
\nAnd rushes to eternity
\nCatching flies and dreaming
\nOf peacefulness and calm
\nOf wanting just to take in Nature

\nSuitors they are everywhere
\nMale bluster on the wing
\nHopeful of forbidden fruit
\nAnd The craving it might bring
\nWe are the Common Hawkers
\nDragon flies of note
\nSome of us three inches long
\nIn a shot silk coat
\nIt\u2019s a great vibration
\nBut often spoilt by those
\nHang about\u2019s and fly by nights
\nThe posers I suppose
\nPursuing us wherever
\nWe fly to, and they try
\nOf course to get their way with us
\nThe most succulent of fly
\nSeduce us and expect us
\nTo give up and succumb
\nWe really need a partner
\nNot just a common bum<\/p>\n
And so we have developed
\nA, get out of jail
\nWhen harassment is imminent
\nWhat puts off the male
\nIs feigning death and falling
\nJust Pretending to be
\nAbsolutely overwhelmed
