Working under the Beech
\nWith its coppery glow
\nTaking out bricks
\nFrom a long time ago
\nThey had crumbled and moved
\nWith the passing of time
\nThe roots and the shoots
\nWhere the ivy did climb
\nHad tested the mortar
\nThe wall had then bowed
\nAt the bottom of the path
\nClose to the road<\/p>\n
Old stock bricks
\nAlready recycled before
\nSean was adept
\nHis repairs they were sure
\nErosion and spoiling
\nNo matter said he
\nWith an orderliness
\nAnd respect for the tree<\/p>\n
Other parts of the wall
\nCame down and we saw
\nThe roots of the Beech
\nYou couldn\u2019t ignore
\nThey wern\u2019t
\nsplayed against the wall
\nWhat they had done was push the wall out
\nAnd so begun
\nA complete re alignment
\nA westerly flow
\nAway from the wall
\nBy itself it did go<\/p>\n
Where the bins were Sean opened
\nThe area, he
\nCleaned up each time
\nYou could very well see
\nHe is connected, receptive and so
\nRepointed the wall there
\nAnd made a good show<\/p>\n
Laying bricks is creative
\nArtwork of sorts
\nA retaining wall
\nThat sits in our thoughts

\nRe using the stocks

The earth never moved
\nClearly held firm, the tree
\nRepositioned it\u2019s anchor
\nWhere it thought to be
\nSean\u2019s work is tidy
\nAnd thoughtful and he
\nPlans stuff and clears up
\nAnd works diligently.<\/p>\n
