\nMary the romantic
\nMary Shelley
\nA modern Prometheus
\nSomebody who
\nShe called Frankenstein
\nAnd gave birth to the new<\/p>\n
From the old from the ancient
\nFrom the corpses away
\nThe vile body snatchers
\nCompiled from the day
\nBolted together
\nBones and nerve ending
\nSpirited energies
\nAll deemed transcending<\/p>\n
An organism whose cells
\ncome from two
\nOr more species it\u2019s true
\n\u201cLycia\u201d
\nA fire breathing hybrid
\nWhose claim
\nIn Asia Minor wasn\u2019t the same<\/p>\n
And now in this day and age
\nPeople need longer
\nLife those whose organs are weakened
\nBy stronger
\n drugs and the alcohol the weariness placed
\nThey can buy into new organs and get a taste<\/p>\n
Of those chimera\u2019s lion goat and snake
\nOf humans to pigs and to sheep they can make
\nIn roads and show the world
\nThat once again time
\nWhen the sick can in fact once again climb
\nOff of the table

\nBlame them today
\nWhen the really skunks are from the USA
\nEthic there is none money it be
\nJust bits of paper no sanity
\nLeft any longer no respect at all
\nAnimals slaughtered there chained to the wall<\/p>\n
Beaten their throats slit for all
\nthey have done
\nGave up their milk and their skin
\nand their son
\nand their flesh and their virginity
\nand their eggs and their soul
\nGave up their bones
\nAnd now rot in some hole<\/p>\n
We tore through the forests we wasted so much
\nWe planted the plastic in oceans our touch
\nWas never of Midas just wanton despair
\nIn this planet of angels where few around care
\nLove was eternal those of us who
\nLove one another like some of us do
\nBut argue and listen to what people say
\nAnd forget the real love that was coming our way<\/p>\n
We say we love animals but we just fight
\nOn social media night after night
\nBlock and unfriend those who did clearly care
\nAnd alone in the slaughterhouse

Our life let us be let us please just return
