The wild life of Australia
\nIs up against it, they
\nMany were around before the people
\nBut today
\nThe arrogance is everywhere
\nThe ignorance there too
\nThe rich have come to plunder
\nA factor that is true<\/p>\n
There are a lot of sick sods
\nAbout the world today
\nWho like to go out shooting
\nImagining it\u2019s a way
\nOf getting out their frustration
\nA weakness they possess
\nBy taking to the countryside
\nAnd handing out some stress<\/p>\n
Hunting, so much ignorance
\nOf predation and the wild
\nOf prey animals and nature
\nThey act worse than a child
\nWith absolutely no idea
\nOf why we need to be
\nRespectful to the animals
\nThe ones sometimes we see<\/p>\n
And so we hear some Chinese guy
\nHis name is said to be
\n\u201cTOM ZHOU\u201dwhose bought a place
\nNot far from Melbourne
\nAnd we know
\nHe wants to build a hotel there
\nA gym a bar that\u2019s it
\nAnd import trophy hunting types
\nWe know where they sit<\/p>\n
Hares and foxes
\nWombats,and the wild ducks too
\nRed deer and the kangaroo too
\nClueless who
\nIn their right mind would offer
\nTo kill these exceptional souls
\nThe wild children who matter
\nAnd who live their unique roles<\/p>\n
In a place called MURRINDINDI
\nNear a river of that name
\nWhere the Wurundjeri people
\nOf YARRA YARRA fame
\nIn the Hume region of Victoria
\nBy a beautiful reserve
\nTo import a trophy hunting place
\nIt really is a nerve<\/p>\n
Too far it is contemptible
\nIn every single way
\nIt lacks respect for everything
\nAnd really doesn\u2019t play
\nInto the true area
\nWhere gratefulness should be
\nFor all of the wild children
\nThat anyone can see<\/p>\n
It just smacks opportunism
\nVenality and wrong
\nProfessional chicanery
\nIt just does not belong
\nIn this vibrant neighbourhood
\nWhere truth and constancy
