Firmness of purpose
\nWill to be free
\nIndependent and determined
\nThe Corvidae be
\nBeyond magickal really
\nMinded to say
\nResolute charmers
\nAn inescapable way
\nOf being together
\nA family of sorts
\nInstinctive and intuitive
\nWith predestined thoughts<\/p>\n
They are never just birds
\nIn their ebonised suits
\nWith their pliant regard
\nand receptive roots
\nResolve and tenacity
\nAnd relentless light
\nA single mindedness
\nA faith thats bright<\/p>\n
That governments kill them
\nGive license to those
\nFarmers and shooters
\nWith shit tween their toes
\nWith grime in their ears
\nAnd salt in their veins
\nAfter the money
\nThat ruins their brains<\/p>\n
A predetermined outlook
\nA family of souls
\nHallowed by custom
\nWith true guiding roles
\nThey are spells in the making
\nPredisposed to agree
\nThey inspire with their stature
\nTo a massive degree<\/p>\n
The corvidae certainly
\nPrompt me to feel
\nWhere the ancient stones crumble
\nThat they have to be.
\nIn the henges and barrows
\nThey nest and display
\nGood fortune and favour
\nAnd a happy array<\/p>\n
Ignorance raises its head
\nSometimes though
\nPays them a disservice
\nWhere ere they go
\nBut those of us favoured
\nWith wisdom and grace
\nIn pursuit of our destiny
\nEach has the face<\/p>\n
Of an angel in charge
\nOf a permanency
\nOf a family of much dedication
\nWho be
\nsupreme and essential
\nPillars who will
\nEach fight their corner
\nWith momentous skill<\/p>\n
Alchemists working
\nIllusionists too
\nMany apprentices
\nLovers like yout
\nBe charmed every which way
\nBeyond how some see
\nThere is no evil eye
\nBut perhaps telergy<\/p>\n
Where the wise
\nHold their rituals
\nIts probably they
\nThe corvidae families
\nPick up on the way
\nThey never forget
\nWhat they learn
\nAnd they do
\nObserve all the time
\nThinking thoughts
\nThat come true<\/p>\n
In the curdling incense
\nSymbolically they
\nMay appear in the shadows
\nIn their homage and sway
\nAs the candle doth flicker
\nThe mind of the seer
\nMay pick up the voices
\nOf those always clear<\/p>\n
On the moors in the north
\nWhere the heather may grow
\nWhere the red grouse may wander
\nTis there that they show
\nFortune by observing
\nThose who dare snare
