\nLying under rainforests
\nBlack oil crude
\nIn Equador the rainforests
\nWhere Moreno and his brood
\nWant to start a drilling
\nDestruction guaranteed

The jungles there
\nAre green and full of life
\nAnd energy
\nA huge abundance of animals
\nAnd birds
\nA constancy
\nRemarkable our very evolution
\nNeeds to feel
\nThe need from pristine forestry
\nAnd thus we must reveal<\/p>\n
To Moreno and his henchmen
\nAnd the oil industry
\nThey are out to destroy the lands
\nAnd the people who are free
\nThe Indigenous peoples understand
\nThey are close to the earth
\nRespect is their middle name
\nThey realise its worth<\/p>\n
Its sputum of the evil gods
\nIts never the black gold
\nHow The oil men like to call it
\nOn profit they are sold
\nDestruction of the air we breathe
\nThe land we serve they know
\nWhat god gives us we must appreciate
\nFor what does grow<\/p>\n
Around us is our heritage
\nIts gifted long ago
\nEach family lives within its means
\nAnd the trees and plants that grow
\nProtect us from the pollution
\nFrom the climate changing sin
\nFossil fuels are filthy
\nAnd none of us can win<\/p>\n
The forest are the nations lungs
\nTangible are they
\nRemember Chevron long ago
\nDestroyed and ran away
\nThey ruined so much forest
\nWe must cherish long
\nAnd hard the peoples knowledge
\nFor drilling oil is wrong<\/p>\n
As the women are the nurturers
\nCatalysts for life
\nBearing our new generations
\nNow taking on the strife
\nOf these great oil barons
\nAnd their dirty stories who
\nCome into our pristine world
\nAnd nothing they say is true<\/p>\n
The air we breathe
\nThe water we drink
\nThe land thats serves us well
\nDrilling down into its depths
\nAnd bringing out of hell
\nPollutive hydrocarbons
\nTo make our children cry
\nMothers of the forest
\nWe do have to ask why<\/p>\n
Oil is seen as important
\nAnd the living forest can
\nBe ruined by the machinery
\nAnd the arrogant man
\nWho thinks nothing of future needs
\nOnly the balance sheet
\nTaking the rich humus
\nFrom uder our childrens feet<\/p>\n
The women have had death threats
\nHouses burned down, they
\nHave had rocks thrown out at them
\nThey are trying to save the day
\nProtect our wondrous forests
\nAnd clean and wholesome streams
\nAll the animals life around
\nWhich make up all our dreams<\/p>\n
The trees the plants the medicines
\nThe oxygenated air
\nThe excellence prevailing
\nThis oil is never fair
\nIndustrial persuasion
\nIts riches are not enough
\nWe have to protect our environment
\nFor lives are really tough<\/p>\n
The Indigenous are the guardians
\nThey show great love and care
\nIts not money or profit
\nIts only being aware
\nAnd fair to all and sundry
\nThe shared space afterall
\nIt belongs to our children
\nAnd we must heed their call<\/p>\n
The integrity of forests
\nA oneness afterall
\nAll the holistic life forces
\nWe have to overhaul
\nThe need for corporations
\nTo ruin and to spoil
\nTo cast darkly dispertions
\nAnd to do it just for oil<\/p>\n
100 wells they are wanting
\nImagine what that will do
\nWe have to think ancestrally
\nAnd realise whats true
\nThe Indigenous have always been
\nOur mentors from before
\nAnd to ride roughshod over all they say
\nAnd basically ignore<\/p>\n
Them and let the oil men
\nRupture and divide
\nBring their rough machinations
\nReally if we side
\nWith them against the natural world
\nIt makes no sense at all
\nWe have to protect the forests
\nAnd our whereforall<\/p>\n
As governments the science
\nThe future does concern
\nProtection of the planet
\nWe cannot let it turn
\nInto, a vast dead zone
\nWith pollution in the air
\nWith watercourses ruined
\nWe have to be aware<\/p>\n
Oil is dirty filthy dirty
\nAnd drilling guarantees
\nAn end to oxygen and clean water
\nWe must please
\nOurselves now not the oil magnates
\nWho ruin and destroy
\nWe just must send them packing
\nAnd retain the natural joy.<\/p>\n
