The street lamps go red
\nbefore amber it seems
\ntwilight is with us
\naround here the screams<\/p>\n
of owls haunt the night
\nwith their eerie refrain
\nas I wander through Ash ridge
\nmy heart full of pain

\nI called her
\nbut she never answered, and I
\nfelt a tear burst
\nout from my left eye
\nand roll like an avalanche
\nonto my chin
\nshe had rejected me
\nand now my skin<\/p>\n
was cold, it was icy
\nthe tear froze as well
\nmy heart it was broken
\nwith nothing to tell<\/p>\n
I tripped over roots
\nover grass over earth
\nknowing deep down
\nthat somewhere on this earth<\/p>\n
I would push up the daisies

\naware that I loved her
\nher skin was so soft
\nher lips were so healthy
\nher eyes were so brown
\nand her hair turned me on
