I was so frightened
\nAnd not very strong
\nWhen I got lost

\nI was drowning out there
\nOne whole night alone
\nIn the hot lonely air
\nNobody to love me
\nNobody to care
\nNo shoulder to lean on
\nNobody aware<\/p>\n
And I had no name
\nJust a small pachyderm
\nLost to the world
\nIt seem so short term
\nMy little life
\nWas fading me fast
\nWas I going to die
\nWhere I had been cast
\nAnd Abraham heard me
\nAnd plunged in with me
\nThey struggled and their hands
\nAnd hearts really key
\nto saving me
\nGiving me reason to try
\nSo Help was at hand
\nIn the wink of an eye<\/p>\n
That was March two years ago
\nAnd my name
\nThey called me “Bahati”
\nMy claim to fame
\nIn Swahili was LUCK
\nfrom my watery grave
\nThe death knell I did buck
\nThey all did their best for me
\nI realised that
\nAfrica reels from loss of
\nHabitat
\nFrom arrogant greed
\nFor the ivory we
\nPossess more or less
\nAnd where that does lead
\nSold off to China
\nSweet little souls
\nMost set to die there
\nThey cant fill those roles
\nAnd then trophy hunting
\nThe corrupt and the vile
\nThe canned hunts
\nJust more stunts
\nFor making their pile<\/p>\n
What is there to live for
\nSanctuaries yes
\nThere are few angels
\nBut something to stress
\nToo many demons
\nToo many who
\nWant to make a fast buck
\nOut of someone like you
\nI went through a lot
\nMy mind was alive
\nI know that the angels
\nWanted me to survive
\nSo many love us
\nSo many care
\nBut too many love themselves
\nAnd are not so aware<\/p>\n

\nOut of the water hole

\nSlaughtered each day
\nFor the quack Chinese medicines
\nAnd the hunters who pay<\/p>\n
Many cant shoot they just want to be
\nIn a photo shoot with a dead one
\nLike me
\nLap up the worship they all get back and
\nSeen as great hunters
\nWho all understand
\nEco conservation excuses of course
\nAbuses all over thats the great force
\nOut here in Africa corruption and war
\nPolitics conflicts
\nWhats it all for?
\nWhy are we striving
\nTo live as before
\nWhen hope is a word thats defunct
\nFor the gore
\nThe Rhino horns the Lion Bones
\nJust look everywhere
\nIts no place to live
\nAnd the air that we share
\nIs clogged up with toxins
\nAnd water and pain
\nReality tells me
\nThis world is insane<\/p>\n
Justice for wild life
\nAnimals we
\nAre suffering
\nAnd our lives much tougher
\nThey be
\nThere is no love nor respect
\nNot any more
\nYou dont love each other
\nEnough, it feels raw
\nWe who sense still the evils
\nThat are building there
\nPeople dont matter
\nSo much despair
\nSo many forests felled
\nEverywhere
\nSo much pollution
\nAnd so little prayer<\/p>\n
More and more people
\nLess and less time
\nOur jungles are built up
\nThere now is no rhyme
\nor reason
\nTo live
\nNot any more
\nSo forgive me
\nThe rainbow bridge
\nI just adore<\/p>\n
Its green and its peaceful
\nIts where I belong
\nWhere the sun shines all day
\nAnd I am lost in a song
\nI remember you all
\nThose who were kind to me
