Animal cruelty it appears
\nis now out of control
\nthe phenomena is evident
\neach day, another soul
\nwhat can mortals do to stem this
\nvile and evil flow
\nwhy do people do these things
\ndoes anybody know?
\nif there is an obvious point
\nto make, lets make it now<\/p>\n
we must tell the world to try
\nwe have to, yes somehow
\nsuch innocence a forethought
\nwhat terror must apply
\na lack of understanding
\nwe must, ask ourselves why
\nfarm animals and others
\ndomestic pets we see
\nsuch torture, and such evil
\nreally how can that be<\/p>\n
is it down to diet
\nto circumstance, or we
\nare we now fast sinking
\nin an ever toxic sea
\nis our consciousness, now ailing
\ntheir cries do we ignore
\nwhy do so many turn away
\nand neglect, our natural law<\/p>\n
of course our place in this shared
\nworld
\nshould be alongside those
\nvoiceless ones the other earthlings
\nwith their share of woes
\n“all things bright and beautiful”
\nall creatures great and small”
\nthey were the words we used to sing
\nin the big school hall<\/p>\n
if that’s the case what’s happened
\nwhere have we gone wrong
\ndid we not believe those words
\nwhen we sang the song
\nor do we think that animals
\nare put here so that we
\ncan hurt them and abuse them
\nto the worse kind of degree<\/p>\n
allow the present farmers to torture
\nthem and hurt
\nallow the bloody abattoirs
\nto obviously now skirt
\naround the rules of slaughter
\nwhere agony and pain
\nare exacted on the innocent
\njust for financial gain<\/p>\n
and we just say we do not know
\nand we just look away
\nand all this time its happening
\nits happening more each day
\ntail docking and teeth clipping
\nbranding! oh my God
\ntearing off their testicles
\nwhat a savage sod!<\/p>\n
crushing tiny male chicks
\nslaughtering the calves
\ntorture and such mayhem
\nnothings done by halves
\nwhat is really happening
\nto civilization, we
\nare we watching it, go down the pan
\nand the majority<\/p>\n
don’t worry as long as the meat is cheap
\nwe do not question it
\nthe agony,and the horror
\nand all the meat trade’s sh**
\nput out by the corporates
\nthose heartless crafty ones
\nwho advertise their prowess
\nto our daughters and our sons<\/p>\n

\nthey are eating cats and eating dogs
\nand the fur trade oh my go’rd
\nthe trapping and the evil deeds
\nare everywhere about
\nvivisection and experimentation
\nreally there’s no doubt<\/p>\n
we’re sinking in a bloody hole
\nand few around now seem
\nto put the case for animals
\nand they fail to hear them scream
\nbut scream they do
\nhow much they try to run away
\nbut we
\nare deaf and ****ing dumb these days
\nwhich is a tragedy<\/p>\n
