I am clearly in my dream state
\nfor sleep seemingly, appears
\nto happen, but before all that
\ncomes story lines and tears
\nI talk through what seems relevant
\nand to some extent my fears<\/p>\n
underneath my duvet
\nit seems to be for me
\na place to concoct
\nand recall the
\nstories instantly<\/p>\n
a little gloss of make believe
\nan eruption, of thoughts
\nall caught up in faerie land
\nand all that it supports<\/p>\n
elfin glades and places
\nwhere little folk oft go
\nsafe in the realms
\nof tufted toadstool
\nforests, and the glow<\/p>\n
which purifies the faerie folk
\nas those about here know
\ncob webbed leggings do abound
\nand toadstool tufted too
\nit seems these latest wintry designs
\nare now on view<\/p>\n
in forest glades the glow of evening
\nand those moonstruck spheres
\nare all the rage
\namongst the faerie folk
\nso it appears<\/p>\n
behold the cauldrons bubbling
\nfilled with the wintry stew
\nof nuts and seeds and birch sap wine
\nand pickled flower buds too<\/p>\n
and all around their villages
\nhang peacock feathers and
\nholly berries and mistle feet
\nwhich do look rather grand<\/p>\n
The Old man’s beard
\nclimbs through the hedge rows where
\nmasses of it grow
\nit looks a bit like cotton wool
\ngrey coloured, to and fro
\nit dances, in December’s windswept vista’s
\nto be sure
\nbut the human people miss its gallant efforts
\nto restore<\/p>\n
some semblance of floral worth,
\nthey all drive on their way
\nhardly ever noticing
\nthe floral balls of grey<\/p>\n
that float and edge
\nand dance and sweep
\nthey have no time it seems
\nthey seem to miss
\nthe extraordinary world
