The importance of nature
\nOf predation and prey
\nOf human interference
\nAt the end of each day
\nThe red grouse
\nThe hen harrier
\nAnd raptors around
\nWho are killed theres no doubt
\nWhere ever they are found<\/p>\n
Life is about life itself
\nAnd when we
\nLike to charge people
\nFor a killing spree
\nCreation its miracles
\nAre everywhere
\nAnd we come along
\nAnd our wish is to share<\/p>\n
The spoils as it were
\nShoot red grouse for we
\nHave little between our ears
\nEffectively
\nA beautiful wild soul
\nThat enjoys heather moors
\nShould be beaten and frightened
\nTo mutual applause<\/p>\n
Hidden in hides rich men
\nWith guns
\nShot out of the sky
\nAs the grouse make their runs
\nBeaters are frightening
\nThem down on the ground
\nAnd hen harriers eat them
\nWhy does that astound<\/p>\n
Bumans who allege they look after
\nThe moors
\nBy killing off grouse
\nLets give them applause
\nShooting snd killing
\nThats conservation
\nWrite it in the sky
\nAcross our fine nation<\/p>\n
So they write a bill
\nGive the hunters their way
\nSet up these stations
\nFor feeding and pray
\nFrom the 1st of April
\nTill August the end
\nWe can feed harrier babies
\nThe message they send<\/p>\n
Arrogance surely
\nAn uncaring stance
\nPredators prey
\nThey buy in advance
\nBut we lay on deliveries
\nOf other food
\nTo safeguard the victims
\nIs that not crude\uff1f<\/p>\n
Man isnt kind
\nAt the end of the day
\nHe makes his rules
\nFor himself for his play
\nOn the natural order
\nThe shooting the birds
\nIts all done with mirrors
\nAnd fanciful words<\/p>\n
They are killing the wild birds
\nEverywhere
\nThose that sing songs
\nThose that fly here and there
\nBirds feathered angels
\nWere here long before
\nThe shooters the trappers
\nSo We shouldnt ignore<\/p>\n
They are up against it
\nNow theres five g
\nWeapons technology
\nFew of us see
\nBut the sentives feel it
\nThe birds on the wing
\nThey get the micro waves
\nAnd they will bring<\/p>\n
Then down to the earth
\nWe are netting them too
\nReduction\/ construction
\nIts what we do
\nIts about conservation
\nIts about things we do
\nWith our words we kill birds
