So many untruths
\nAnd downright lies
\nSurround the grouse moors
\nNo surprise
\nThe callous way
\nThe wild souls
\nWith their lives
\nAll pay<\/p>\n
Its snobbery
\nIts fabrication
\nShooters
\nYes a delegation
\nThe glorious twelth
\nOr so its called
\nHatched concocted
\nAnd we are fooled<\/p>\n
By no one really
\nThe killing fields
\nHeather moorlands
\nGreatest yields
\nOf the fine red grouse
\nFast movers they
\nShow their wings and fly away<\/p>\n
Its all about money
\nAnd snobbery
\nAnd because of this
\nWhat we do see
\nAre hundreds of victims
\nWho have to pay
\nFor a rich mans sport
\nOn a summers day<\/p>\n
From the 12 th of AUGUST
\nTill the 10th of December
\nThe hunting parties
\nIn their hide
\n8-10 guns watch the runs
\nDriven birds
\nwith no where to hide<\/p>\n
Yorkshire Water
\nOwns much land
\nAnd lots of others who understand
\nThe needs of moorland
\nOf wild tribes there
\nWho must be shown full on despair
\nHen harriers
\nBeautiful souls
\nFull foul alas
\nTo the controls<\/p>\n
Many shot out of the sky
\nTheir dance of death
\nIs very high
\nDrive by the beaters
\nGame keepers aglow
\nFOXES crows and stoats
\nAnd weasels
\nThis lot have to go<\/p>\n
Kestrels eagles buzzards
\nRed kites as they fly
\nGoshawks osprey all these
\nBeautiful wild birds
\nHave to die<\/p>\n
Ravens hooded crows
\nIts wildness through and through
\nThey dont want competition
\nIts what the shooters do
\nThey want to bag the red grouse
\nShoot it from the sky
\nIts all about the sport
\nIts wrought with agony
\nOn high<\/p>\n
Its about obliteration
\nOf our wild created souls
\nThe intolerance of shooters
\nWho want to exact controls
\nThey are uncompromising
\nIn every single way
\nFanatical and bigoted
\nMaking wild folk pay<\/p>\n
And its premeditated
\nThe order of the day
\nIt is very distressing
\nWhen wild life has to pay
\nLaggards far from mindful
\nOf environments around
\nAnd kill just for the sake of it
\nIts that commercial sound<\/p>\n
hurtful and injurious
\nBitterness and pain
\nOppression and persecution
\nViewed with such disdain
\nWhat mother nature offers up
\nA myriad of souls
\nThat might compete with the red grouse
\nAnd thus need their controls<\/p>\n
They feel the imperfectness
\nThe vulnerability
\nThey think that Nature got it wrong
\nTheir insufficiency
\nMoney in their bank accounts
\nAnd the hostelry
\nThe money they can make
\nAnd really that is key<\/p>\n
The sport of kings and
\nBankers
\nPoliticians too
\nAnyone with lots of dosh
\nWho like shooting who
\nLove to murder wildlife
\nThe wild birds of the sky
\nThe raptors of the heavens
\nThat also like to fly<\/p>\n
With artfulness and cunning
\nOfcourse this lot are gunning
\nTo murder all these red grouse
\nAnd others in the sky
\nThe glorious hen harrier
\nAnd eagles yes they die
\nWhen nobody is looking
\nThey are shot out of the sky<\/p>\n
The suffering is everywhere
\nFamilies of those trapped
\nDie slow deaths that no one sees
\nAnd their lifes blood is sapped
\nThe shooters joy is short lived
\nThe wild souls lives are long
\nRemembered by the carers by the sharers
\nThat belong<\/p>\n
Those of us who see the sense
\nOf predation and prey
\nOf the natural world, of the biosphere
\nWhat happens everyday
\nNot all this snob behaviour
\nOf shooting And its pull
\nBut only if your pockets
\nOfcourse are always full<\/p>\n
Wildness it is absolute
\nIts naturalness for all
\nIts not about a sporting chance
\nIt really is one rule
\nFor all of us we abide by it
\nPredation v versus prey
\nThe old the sick the injured
\nAnd the fittest get away<\/p>\n
We have to stand as noblemen
\nAnd women of this world
\nAnd protect all of gods creatures
\nFor all of us have been hurled
\nInto the great maelstrom
\nOf life on earth today
\nAnd sport should never
\nEver
\nTake our true wild souls

Lets protect the victims
