Two families
\nAre present
\nThe musk ox
\nThe wolves
\nA flat arena
\nClanship and more
\nAn arc of bodies
\nProtecting the calves
\nThe pack everyone of them
\nFeisty and raring
\nInterdependent
\nlike never before<\/p>\n
A world of difference
\nAdverseness and hatred
\nHunger was driving them
\nFaithful they be
\nApproaching the oxen
\nWith snarled teeth and hot breath
\nThinking outside the box
\nThe wildness we see<\/p>\n
Apparently dissonance
\nOne broke away
\nOxen in small groups
\nFor that they would pay
\nThe wolves were among them
\nChaos ensued
\nContradictory thoughts
\nConflicted and crude<\/p>\n
The oxen ran for it
\nDust everywhere
\nA flailing of hooves
\nIn the panic we share
\nThe wolves in pursuit
\nIts a calf that must die
\nLagging a bit behind
\nWhich now is why<\/p>\n
The alpha is strong
\nWith an even intent
\nThree calves are brought down
\nTo heaven their sent
\nChoking on blood
\nAs the molars ingest
\nTorn into ribbons
\nThus they invest<\/p>\n
All of their meanness
\nThe excessive gait
\nAs the mothers look back
\nTo a sight that they hate
\nBlood lust an offering
\nOf tangle and twist
\nA ferment of bedlam
\nThe wish to resist<\/p>\n
A brawl and a melee
\nOf rambling lust
\nLawless and bloody
\nSo much disgust
\nThe calves lost to reason
\nBroken and bust
\nThe beginning and the end
\nIt all happened just<\/p>\n
Like that in the blink of sn eye
\nYouthfulness
\nTaken out rapidly
\nWho can confess
\nTo the time and the aftermath
\nThree casualties
\nDefenceless and innocent
\nAnd so powerless<\/p>\n
Unsteady and shaky
\nClearly no way
\nCould they outrun wolves
\nAt the end of the day
\nEndeavour and authorship
\nClearly on fire
\nHungry and wanting
\nThat was their desire<\/p>\n
They have dynamism
\nThey are a force
\nThe oxen could turn on them
\nAnd crush them ofcourse
\nA great detonation of hooves and that horn
\nBut the wolves have the spirit
\nAnd the tactics of scorn<\/p>\n
There are no spectators
\nThey are all in the game
\nSo intelligent they
\nReasoning and knowing
\nThey work out the way
\nDeliberative meditative
\nThey really show
\nWhat smacks alertness
