\nDown under it stays
\nFloating around
\nCuriosity well
\nFrom above or below
\nIts takes souls to Hell<\/p>\n
Single use plastic
\nA plaything for some
\nA meal for others
\nA virtual crumb
\nFor a dolphin perhaps
\nOr a whale tragically
\nImagining it to be a hybrid jelly<\/p>\n
We are complicit
\nDumping this stuff
\nIn bins with our rubbish
\nWe all have enough
\nIt goes into the landfill
\nAnd out in the sky
\nAnd before you can blink
\nYes blink just one eye<\/p>\n
Its back in the ocean
\nFooling those who
\nSee it as something to eat
\nMaybe you
\nEntangled intestines
\nThe burden of guilt
\nITs filling the body
\nWith what feels like a silt
\nLike substance of plastic
\nIts now everywhere
\nClogging us up
\nWith just frightful despair
\nSingle use dolphins here
\nPlaying around
\nWith single use plastic

They have the means
\nTo treat it as a toy
\nIntelligence gatherers
\nCreating a joy
\nOut of what is now awful
