Times bring out evil
\nAnd hatred and sadness
\nAnd the donkeys the working souls
\nSuffer so much
\nThis sanctuary helps them
\nIt\u2019s saves them re homes them
\nAnd does what it can
\nBy Staying in touch<\/p>\n
\u201cFreddie\u201d poor soul
\nWas beaten and chopped
\nWith a machete
\nHis head bleeding so
\nHe was exhausted
\nFrom working all hours
\nAnd couldn\u2019t work fast enough
\nLosing his powers
\nHis owner frustrated
\nWith his lot had taken
\nHis anger out on him
\nFor many hours<\/p>\n
Expecting so much
\nIn the heat chopping wildly
\nTerrible head wounds
\nTo put it mildly
\nClearly a psychopath
\nRigorously
\nCausing such harm
\nAnd instability<\/p>\n
Only a crackpot
\nCould torture like so
\nAn hysteric obsessive
\nAs the blood it did flow
\nSuffering terribly
\nFortunately
\nClaire Einhorn
\nWas on hand
\nAnd a rescue could be<\/p>\n
Already dear Freddie
\nIs recovering well
\nHe has been re homed
\nSo I have heard tell
\nHe is a quite a fellow
\nAs donkeys go
\nApparently happy
\nTo be back in the flow<\/p>\n
Another called Merlin
\nFound in the street
\nAgain worked to death
\nIn all of the heat
\nHis tail it was gone
\nHis skin much gone too
\nBut they have made him a tail
\nAnd his magic comes through
\nLove in Bulawayo
\nCertainly makes
\na hell of difference
\nFor all donkeys sakes<\/p>\n
