I hear emotion is dying
\nIts thought a weakness where
\nThe intolerable and insufferable
\nApparently we share
\nWe take on board displeasure
\nThe impassive unfeeling ways
\nThe wrongness and the injustice
\nUntil it really plays
\nInto what is dutifulness
\nWhat is the unwritten code
\nWhat is their bounden duty
\nAnd their obligation load
\nMismanagement is commonplace
\nMalingers in swing
\nThey swing the lead and get away
\nWith wanting now to bring
\nIrreverence and dishonour
\nInto the ring so we
\nMust agree to be insulted
\nAnd disrespected constantly<\/p>\n
The supercillious gestures
\nSuch arrogance we see
\nThe lack of truest principles
\nIs how it has to be
\nWrangling and unfairness
\nThe order of each day
\nWhere people are unreliable
\nAnd there is nothing you can say
\nGuiltlessness is apparently
\nOn the back burner now
\nBeing artful and suspicious
\nReally that is how
\nBusiness runs its course these days
\nThe emotion all but gone
\nIts matter of fact and by the book
\nAnd thats how life goes on<\/p>\n
I am glad I am in my seventies
\nNot a long way to go
\nZombies robots monsters
\nAre the stars the run the show
\nThe angels and the emotions
\nAre simply filed away
\nThat is the way of new age
\nAnd so be it, I say.
\nVicissitude and misery
\nAnd wretchedness and pain
\nCan be metered out to people
\nJust like falling rain
\nBut they must never show it
\nIn words that make one feel
