The mentality of the French
\nOne has to realise how mean
\nCreation gave us song birds
\nTo enrich each vital scene
\nTo encourage and to appreciate
\nThe loyalty they possess
\nTo caroll us with their raptures
\nAnd ofcourse seek, no redress<\/p>\n
Their originality
\nTheir genuineness aFoot
\nTheir ideosyncratic notions
\nAnd where they have been put
\nSoaring in the heavens
\nBriefly in the sky
\nCasting off as sentinels
\nFleet of foot and eye<\/p>\n
The pet trade
\nBreeds insignificance
\nAmong its human souls
\nWho mess about with nature
\nThe uneveness of roles
\nUseage of the glue traps
\nThe defective thoughts of man
\nFulfilled it seems by capturing
\nThe immature that plan<\/p>\n
To produce chaotic bedlam
\nA disunion lets say
\nA madhouse in the treetops
\nA scramble all the way
\nBlackbirds and thrushes gamble
\nWarblers too, yes they
\nAre caught up in the stickiness
\nAnd will die there come what may<\/p>\n
The cruelty is awful
\nHaving wings to fly
\nAnd being forced to remain stuck
\nIn glue perchance to die
\nThe French pet trade is sinful
\nIts freakishness its plain
\nThe numbers left to perish
\nAre honestly insane<\/p>\n
Song birds are a gift of life
\nOf honest melody
\nAn utter absoluteness
\nA partnership that be
\nHeraldic and angelic
\nIn a multitude of ways
\nFragility and transience
\nThat honestly displays<\/p>\n
And so the supreme court
\nOf France declares
\nThat it can beCarried
\nCarried on regardless
\nAcross many a tree
\nGlue applied I am mystified
\nBy the illogical display
\nOf malevolence from judges
\nWho have clearly gone astray<\/p>\n
Its appears we are at a lateness
\nIn the humility of life
\nThe winged ones have such beauty
\nAnd we fill their day with strife
\nAnd all for so called human beings
\nTo consciously believe
\nThey have the right to maim and kill
\nSong birds and then retrieve<\/p>\n
Their pretty little bodies
\nTheir beating hearts that slow
\nAll their tiny little wings
\nFlying too and fro
\nSinging to the heavens
\nWith a gLorious refrain
