In actuality
\nWhat I saw today
\nWas daffodils their trumpets
\nSounding out clearly a way
\nAhead even of snowdrops
\nStill to break cover who
\nUndeniably are imminent
\nAnd should soon be
\nShowing too<\/p>\n
Minus five and icy
\nAnd some snow appeared
\nAnd then a day less colder
\nFollowed by frosts
\nSo feared
\nBut now we see the golden
\nTrumpets blaring out a tune
\nCreated to be heralding Spring
\nFor them perhaps high noon<\/p>\n
Fooled by the warmer weather
\nIts essentialness is here
\nThe embodiment of a magick
\nThat brings a jolt of cheer
\nTo what is surely Winter
\nTo what is ice and snow
\nTo what is characteristic
\nOf when these flowers should grow<\/p>\n
It is quite a dilemma
\nA congenital display
\nAlmost foreign at this time
\nSo early in the day
\nBreaking through jack’s carpet
\nA finely goassamer shower
\nAlready formed and beautiful
\nFrom its lissom bower<\/p>\n
It just feels rather random
\nA disparity to be
\nIntrusive in this day and age
\nAnd intruder possibly
\nIllogical inapplicable
\nSPring is weeks away
\nAnd here we see the daffodils
\nAnd their spring like array<\/p>\n
It all seems quite chaotic
\nMuddled in a way
\nAnd may be problematical
\nFor again we hear today
\nWinter’s chill is coming fast
\nAnd all these pioneers
\nMay be stressed out in the melee
\nAnd some emerging tears<\/p>\n
Their fragility and brittleness
\nExposed for all to see
\nThe purest evanescence
\nThat ever there can be
\nEncountering the hoariness
\nEach brumal shale and sound
\nAnd Still some days from imbolc
\nAs a hard frost coats the ground<\/p>\n
