\nIts wild and animals do
\nEat instinctive diets

Hard wood is a commodity
\nThat countries want to sell
\nLogging out the earthly lungs
\nCreating man made hell
\nHunting down the wild life
\nBush meat sells and sells
\nLoggers want fresh primate meat
\nFor them it kind of jells<\/p>\n
A gorilla in the wild
\nNeeds seventy pounds a day
\nOf fresh vegetable material
\nTo help them on their way
\nFor this they need the forest
\nThe harmony and peace
\nThey dont want wound or trauma
\nJust a nice long lease<\/p>\n
Ebola fever a disease
\nRampant in these parts
\nDifficult to spot at first

\nOf man are not so understanding

Bushmeat has its risks ofcourse
\nPrimates suffer, they
\nCan pass on infectivity

\nTransmitted via their meat
\nHurtful and injurious
\nAnd really not the treat<\/p>\n
The methods used for killing
\nGorillas in the wild
\nMurdering the mothers
\nAnd torturing the child
\nEbola kills gorillas
\nAnd transmits it far
\nAnd so we see pandemics
\nHappening where they are<\/p>\n
At this rate of poaching
\nIn say thirty years time
\nThere will be no gorillas left
\nThe reason and the rhyme
\nMan is unjustly killing
\nIn an unsustainable way
\nFemales give birth every
\n5\/7 years
\nAnd so ofcourse today
\nwe are witnessing extinction
\nAnd its iniquitous to see
\nAll the work Diana Fossey did
\nStill the tragedy
\nGrowing at an alarming pace
\nTrophy hunting KILLS
\nIts shameful and its insidious
\nAnd ofcourse it chills<\/p>\n
