Close to where I live
\nWild foxes like to roam
\nQuite close to Berkhamsted castle
\nClearly they are at home
\nBeautiful wee wild folk
\nThe most curious of souls
\nSecretive and timid
\nThey have taken to their roles
\nQuietly in the mornings and evenings
\nThey will ply
\nIn the woods and copses
\nThese little fellows fly
\nFour toes on both fore and hind
\nA tell tale with a prominent heel
\nThey should be respected
\nFor they are very real
\nWhen walking normally they tend to
\nPlace their hind feet where
\nTheir fore feet were
\nYou get a kind of double print
\nConcur
\nIts as if a creature is hopping
\nOne legged if you will
\nI so love foxes actually
\nSo that hunters when they kill
\nA beast thats truly wonderful
\nIt Tells me that they are
\nActually the pests themselves
\nAnd the dear fox is the star.<\/p>\n
At about two in the morning
\nDriving through Ashridge I
\nOften see these beautiful souls
\nIn My headlights And why
\nThey seem to wander aimlessly
\nAnd on the edge they stare
\nThe countryside is beautiful
\nAnd I am glad that with me they share<\/p>\n
