\nThrusting it upon a spike

It is known as the butcher bird

\nOf impaling victims

\nIs infact

\nBut the shrike discovered

Is loses its toxicity

\nMaking it good to eat
\nOn these hooks its so simple
\nTo leisurely tear away
\nChunks of flesh
\nAir dried at will

\nStews it in the air it does
\nAnd its toxicity
\nDissipates completely
\nAnd it becomes so good
\nThe Shrike has found the answer

\nClearly it has a dark side
\nAs its little gut it fills
