We all felt the love this afternoon
\nThe National Trust,became
\nThe real people the nation ought to trust
\nIts what they claim
\nOf telling all the people
\nThe good that the trust does
\nThen selling hunting licences
\nYou could just feel that buzz<\/p>\n
Ashridge plain and simple
\nIts woods and down lands where
\nMyriads of Foxes and Deers and Munkjacs
\nShare
\nAnd The poor old Hares of England behold
\nTheir wavering cry
\nAs hunters will be
\nTrailing
\nAnd the hares poor souls will die<\/p>\n
In the mass of bluebell woods
\nThe Birches and the Oak
\nThe place where the significant
\nWalk their dogs no joke
\nAnd many seldom realise
\nHonestly That you
\nThe people we are told to trust
\nWhat they are going to do<\/p>\n
Is issue hunting licences
\nThe wailing of these souls
\nPrimal journeys

\nTheir eyes peer from the wood
\nAnd to hunt them out of existence
\nHow can that be good<\/p>\n
They are going to do their spot checks

\nWill see the hunts are properly warned
\nWe had to say no way
\nThese splendid woods
\nOld Henry the 8th
\nSurely he would say

These lands should ere be treated
\nHunting and killing here
