A women whose integrity
\nAnd constancy is there
\nSo much moral fibre
\nAnd ofcourse she is aware
\nOf their place
\nWithin the biosphere
\nEach and every one
\nShe has honour
\nAnd a reverence
\nFor everything she has done<\/p>\n
A diver of the ocean
\nA carer in the sea
\nWith an attention span
\nOf an angel
\nWho acts venerably
\nShe feels an obligation
\nTo help those that do need
\nAnd gains recognition
\nWhich helps her to succeed<\/p>\n
Sharks all them
\nFor Those hooked and uncomfortable
\nShe’s there
\nReady to give a helping hand
\nTo an apex predators prayer
\nHow ever streamlined and efficent
\nHowever effective they
\nSometimes need s helping hand
\nIt can happen any day<\/p>\n
One hundred million sharks
\nAre slaughtered every single year
\nCaught up in netting no ones letting
\nSharks escape its fear
\nThe sharks fin soup fraternity
\nDistress for them can be
\nFrighteningly horrible
\nFor what is, incredibly<\/p>\n
A total waste of life
\nBe it by-catch be it mean’t
\nShark oil for the capsules
\nSo many lives are spent
\nOn our futile quest for nutrition
\nAll apprently
\nFor human intervention
\nWhich really shouldnt be<\/p>\n
This women has made it her life’s work
\nTo care for them to see
\nNot a monstrous killer
\nBut a saintly soul who be
\nA predator whose sensitivity
\nIs far ahead
\nOf any single human
\nWhat ever some have said<\/p>\n
She shows each of them due respect
\nAnd cares for them
\nIdentifying grief
\nHelping to remove past hooks
\nAnd giving them some relief
\nTo identify those suffering
\nAnd their fascinating ways
\nShe admires their sensitivity
\nAnd is baffled by their gaze<\/p>\n
Their small eyes and the
\nEcho location everythings all there
\nVery advanced these beings
\nAnd showing them you care
\nWith confidence and admiration
\nThey can understand
\nSpellbound by her inquisitiveness
\nAnd her soft and gentle hand<\/p>\n
As she removes the hooks from them
\nIt can be dangerous this
\nPutting her trust in a wild sharks mouth
\nShe sees their trust as bliss
\nShe knows their every posture
\nAnd they pick up on her care
\nAnd her desire to help them
\nAnd clearly want to share<\/p>\n
It does take some audacity
\nAnd resoluteness for
\nSuch a situation
\nOften on the sea floor
\nWith many sharks around her
\nShe shows affection for
\nWhat has been drummed into our psyche
\nA killer making war<\/p>\n
But its not the case
\nTheir angst she feels
\nAnd their adversity
\nAnd she does something about it
\nWith her in built harmony
\nIts her attitude and manner
\nHer reciprocity
\nAnd sharks can covet caring thoughts
\nAnd logicality.<\/p>\n
For over twenty years
\nShe’s shown an interest
\nIn their plight
\nShe understands their behaviour
\nAnd knows ofcourse whats right
\nBehaviorally she has it
\nRight down to a tee
\nEducation and conservation
\nAnd what it is to be<\/p>\n
The Caribbean Reef sharks
\nShe knows them very well
\nHer candour and her frankness
\nIts as if there is a spell
\nCast and all are taken
\nThe sharks and Cristina too
\nShe is accomplished and resourceful
\nAnd her wisdom just shines through<\/p>\n
There is no form of agitation
\nHer movements in harmony
\nShe loves the energy of the sea
\nHer superiority
\nIn dealing with each victim
\nWith what is such regard
\nShe has a marvellous aura
\nThat many might work hard<\/p>\n
To achieve but never attain<\/p>\n
